There are many people that ask how should they start with their puppy? What is it that I need to do in order to raise a puppy? The answer is actually very simple and is something that most people can apply to a situation that occurs in their lives, having children. Raising children and raising a puppy are not that different from one another. They both require a lot of attention and a lot of dedication to get them to be what you want them to be and act they way there are supposed to act. I know it’s a tough thing to do but it is quite easy if you devote sometime to it every day in order to strengthen that relationship. It might seem a bit silly to say this but the best way to raise a puppy is to provide something that everyone yearns for and needs in their lives and that something is love and support. To show your new puppy that you love him reward him when he does something good or does something that you taught him. Show him that his efforts for doing whatever it is that he did didn’t go unnoticed and that you care about what he did. This sort of reinforcement is key when you want to teach your new puppy more complicated things further on down the line. He will know that anything that you try to teach him is something that is worth learning because it will garner your love and respect especially when some sort of treat is involved. Showing your puppy support is easy and it shows when you try to teach him something new after you successfully reward him for whatever he did earlier. It’s a process that goes a long way in reinforcing your relationship with him and shows him that you are his leader and that he knows his place with you.
Raising a puppy is very hard to do and it isn’t something that should be entered into lightly because it requires a lot of attention and a lot of dedication. When raising a puppy make sure that you are thinking about the long run and his future.
