Biras Creek has long been known as one of the top luxury destinations in the world. It is a real romantic hideaway, sitting in 140 acres on the stunningly beautiful Virgin Gorda, you can only get there either by boat or helicopter. This all suite hotel consists of 33 luxury suites which sit in the middle of the meeting of the North Sound, the Atlantic, and the Caribbean, providing quite different outlooks.
Biras Creek is all inclusive to the extent that you will get three absolutely top class meals every day, plus free transfers from the airport. You will have to pay for drinks, and as you will discover Biras Creek has a very good cellar indeed.
There is plenty to do on Virgin Gorda from swimming off the private white sand beach, sailing, snorkelling, using Boston Whalers to go exploring, HobiCats, and windsurfing. There are a number of hiking trails for the energetic, but ultimately this is a romantic hideaway, with no organised activities at all, just the perfect honeymoon resort, the perfect escape from the pressures of life in civilisation.
Probably the thing that guests remember most of all is the sheer quality of the food. Even for the weight conscious, there is something delicious on the menu at every meal, and your surroundings just add to the quality. The views are just spectacular, and because Biras Creek is such a small luxury hotel, it can never be, and in fact never is crowded.
You will definitely be living life in the slow lane here, and so you can do as little or as much as you want. Indeed if you want to party the night away, or if you like a resort full of glamour and posing, then Biras Creek isn’t the place to be. What you will find is a resort whose guests are pretty well all like minded people. They like you will be happy to sit at the bar and chat, and you will meet very interesting people without ever becoming best friends, which happens all too often in big resorts. Lots of chat, low key, and very laid back is the way it is here.
If Biras Creek is to be your romantic honeymoon destination resort, be aware that it isn’t cheap at all. Honeymoons however are surely the one time in your life to splurge out, go and break the bank, because you won’t regret it for one second, from the recently upgraded and very comfortable suites, to the beach lunchtime BBQ’s, and the beautiful dining room in the evenings, to the whole atmosphere that whispers peace, and serenity, but shouts laid back class, with absolutely tip top service at every turn.
If your judgement is coloured by your arrival, then you will know from that moment that Biras Creek is special. You will be greeted by the manager himself, given a rum punch and taken on a tour of the property on a golf buggy. You will be impressed, and you will continue to be glad you chose Biras Creek as the romantic destination / honeymoon vacation resort for the start of your life together. It will be everything you hoped for in that is is not only a luxury destination but also a romantic hideaway all rolled into one.
