You won’t be bored in Cancún! This beautiful coastal city has something for everyone.

It’s a perfect destination for a romantic getaway (wedding and honeymoon!), a family vacation, a sporting break or a relaxing beach holiday.

What’s more, Cancún, which is situated on Mexico’s Caribbean coast, is ideal for a holiday property rental, as there is a good selection of self catering accommodation available in this popular tourist destination.

With so many things you can do in amazing city, which is in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, you won’t know what to do first!

If you’re planning on tying the knot, Cancún is the ideal spot to get married - and then honeymoon. The city’s beautiful surroundings and stunning beaches provide an idyllic setting for your ceremony, making it a wedding to remember.

But you don’t have to be tying the knot and honeymooning to enjoy Cancún. It’s also ideal for those looking to spend an active holiday, too. This area of Mexico is great for watersports, such as scuba diving, snorkelling and fishing. The Great Mesoamerican Reef (the Gran Arrecife Maya), off the coast of Cancún, is the second largest coral reef in the world. With the beautiful coral and marine life here, this is a superb area to go scuba diving.

If you prefer playing sport on dry land then you can have a game of golf or tennis.

But if you have a more relaxing holiday in mind, you will also be able to find it here in Cancún too, especially if you're a beach lover. Many people go to the city for its beautiful beaches. Here you can escape the hustle and bustle, lie on the beach and enjoy the sun.

After some rest and relaxation, you might want to catch up on some shopping during your stay in Mexico. If you are an avid shopper, you won’t be disappointed either. You will find markets, shopping malls and a mix of specialty shops in Cancún.

Restaurants are also in abundance in Cancún. You will be well catered for, whether you want fast food or a dinner cruise!

This Mexican city is also family-friendly. If you’ve got children in your group, they will appreciate the Acuario Interactivo (Interactive Aquarium Cancún) and MayaVentura.

And if you’re keen to find out about the local history and culture, you might like to visit some museums in the area. For example, there’s the INAH Museum (National Institute of Anthropology and History) and Zona Arqueológica El Rey, an archaeological site which is worth a visit.

There are also some interesting places to visit around Cancún, too. If time allows, be sure to check out the small island Isla Mujeres, the Island of Women, which can be found off the coast of Cancún. This beautiful island can be reached by ferry from the mainland. It’s a great place to relax, eat, drink, enjoy a variety of water sports or hire a bike. You can even visit the island’s Turtle Farm!

Cancún is also a good place to be if you’re looking for a good night out. There are various nightclubs, bars, lounge bars and live music venues where you can enjoy an evening out.
